December 19, 2023 — From Florence to Philadelphia, Denver to Dublin, Manhattan to Madrid, and back to Poughkeepsie, President Kevin Weinman traversed the globe showcasing Marist’s visionary new strategic plan, Marist 100

"Marist is uniquely positioned to thrive in a very competitive and challenging higher education environment," said President Weinman at the College's annual holiday reception at the Culinary Institute of America on Dec. 8, as the tour's first 100 days came to an end. "Our complete commitment to being 'and', not 'or', in every context possible is what will help us thrive."

“Now, it’s time to get down to work,” said Emily Saland, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Marist 100 Steering Committee Co-Chair.

The plan’s three pillars—academic vibrancy, student centrality, and expansive community—grew out of a collaborative effort among all facets of the Marist community, including students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

“Our goal is to foster a culture of engagement and shared ownership of the plan,” said Saland. “We know that the strategic plan was really just the start of many other planning processes that are going to be taking place this year and next.”
